In my years behind the camera, I’ve learned to appreciate the smaller details in life that make this world so beautiful. The big events change our routines, but the smaller events change our perspective and, ultimately, shape our destiny. Through the lens, I capture unique architecture, beautiful buildings, charming chateaux and incredible interiors with an aim of turning what the eye sees into pure art. Yet at the same time these places should be inviting and stir the imagination.
I’m under no illusion that I have the privilege of working in a profession seen as fun or a dream job by some. It certainly is for me. I enjoy capturing that room you worked so hard on to stage for your potential guest, someone you’ve not met yet, but you care that they see a desirable place to stay. When you’re selling a house you want to know the potential buyer sees a home, you want to convey some of the happy memories you had there as you pass it on for someone else to do the same. If I can capture a hint of that, it brings me great satisfaction.
Moving into 360° photography feels like a natural progression and an innovative step for me. Having seen so many homes, chambre d’hôtes and businesses has given me perspective of what owners want to showcase. 360° photography is the next evolution in the industry, focusing more on what the client wants to see as well as allowing owners more opportunities to showcase their property in even greater detail.
